Raees was a much-awaited movie of 2017 which proved after its release that is a complete package of action, thriller and drama. In the movie Bollywood’s king Khan, Shah Rukh Khan has played the character of Raees Khan who is the emperor of running an illegal business of alcohol in Gujrat. He is also very nexus to some political leaders who take care of his business as well by providing fund. ACP Majumder, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui was appointed to thrown Raees out of this empire.

This movie reminds us about the blockbuster action movies of the seventies. The drama, action, and entrance of Helen with her dance in the seventies movies—- Such similar things you can get to see in this movie too. There is no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan depicts the character of Raees too beautifully and made it look like a real life character. It’s true that with age, his acting is also getting matured day by day. The first half of the movie has been presented in an interesting way. The early life of a bootlegger will surely attract all audience. The song Laila Main Laila performed by Sunny Leone has become quite famous among the audience. The casting of the movie has been done beautifully. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan played nicely the character of Wife of Raees Khan but her role is restricted only to some emotional scenes and songs. And, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is just perfect in the portrayal of ACP Majumder. He has again shown the audience why he is called a great actor of recent times. However, the second half of the movie is a bit boring and it seems that the plot has not been arranged properly. The sudden raise of morality within Raees Khan is quite unnatural. According to critics, the movie could have been far better if was a short length one. The movie has bagged good collection both within and outside India within just eight days of its release.
