The story of Ok Jaanu is based on love story which evolved between the young couple Adi and Tara. The Characters of Adi and Tara played by Aditya Roy Kapur and Shradha Kapoor are portrayed in a romantic way. The story will express the millennial problems and irrational fear relating to commitment in the relationship and how this pressure leads to detachment of two young souls. This movie managed to express it as a unique presentation of love life of new generation.

Adi, from Lucknow, is a developer of video games who is having a dream to get settled in US and Tara is a fresh graduate in Architecture and she wants to go to Paris to give her career a strong boost. The duo met in a wedding party and they strongly felt that marriage is not for them. They decided to move in together till the time they are in Mumbai. It was just 10 days before leaving Mumbai, both of them managed to recognize the fact there is something more than just friendship between them related to heart and soul.  What will they do next? Will they accept their love for each other and get married or will say goodbye to give their career dream a chance to prosper? You will get the answer in the climax of the film.

The positive part of the movie is its’ screenplay. The movie can be said a remake of Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani in 2015. The presence of Gulzar’s dialogue have made this movie must to watch. Shraddha Kapoor has played her role quite intelligently in the movie but Aditya Roy Kapur needs much development in his acting. Veteran Actor Nasiruddin Shah is perfect for the character of Gopi Uncle and Leela Samson too has performed simply awesome as Charu aunty. It can be said that the presence of both the senior actor has made the movie more attractive and the music of A.R Rahman in this movie is a real happening one. In case you watched the Tamil version of this film then chances are there that you will find many flaws in it and if not then you will find it perfect for a one time watch.
