Commando 2 is a sequel of the movie Commando, a one man army. The story of the movie is based on hand to hand combat on an assignment to wipe out black money from the country. Vickey Chadda, India’s most wanted black money agent is kept in a safe house along with his wife after he gets arrested in Malaysia. The Home Minister of India, played by Shefali Shah appoints a four member team to bring the black money agent back to India. The special team is comprised of a dedicated police officer (Freddy Daruwala); Encounter specialist cum ex-commando (Vidyut Jamal), one dishonest cop played by Adah Sharma and one hacker to carry on the mission.
There is no doubt that Vidyut Jammawal is a rising action star and he is able to do all sorts of stunts well. The opening of the movie is quite good, but the director should have paid more attention over the action sequences to make them more exciting. However, the concept of the movie is quite impressive than the way the movie has been presented. Esha Gupta’s ravishing appearance is not enough to help in the survival the movie and the same applies to Ada Sharma too. Other actors too failed to show the much needed aggression to create a good impression on the audience. The screaming of “Commando, Commando” during action sequences looks quite outmoded. The audience will feel bored while watching the movie as the story has been overstretched unnecessarily.
It can be said a good try done by the Director and he made a very good effort to develop a mysterious plot, but the plot has not been arranged properly and it turned out to be an absurd one. Hence it fails to generate any thrill among the audience. If you are fan of Vidyut Jammawal, then go for it or else giving a miss will not be a bad idea.
