Coffee with D can be mentioned as a good attempt to entertain the audience with all elements of fun and cheer. The plot is based on how a journalist gets an opportunity in his real life to have an interview with the terror, Don D. Sunil Grover played the portrayal of reporter Arnab Ghosh, once who was the most watched face in the TV news channel. But, due to his excess anger and rude behavior towards the guest in the TV shows, he became a problem for the channel boss. He was allotted a lower slot as a host of a cooking show. Being insulted, Arnab Ghosh (Sunil Grover) was looking for doing something new, when his pregnant wife, Parul ( Anjana Sukhani) suggests him to interviewing the terror of underworld, Don D (Zakir Hussain). Whereas, Don D planned to kill Arnab Ghosh on a Live TV show. Dippanita Sharma has played the character of Neha who runs a cooking show. We need to agree that the climax of the movie was a thrilling one.
Sunil Grover’s acting was a noticeable one. But, there is a basic flaw in the movie. The movie presumes that there is a clash between Don D and Arnab. The acting of Anjana Sukhani, who played the character of the wife of Sunil Grover in the movie, is not too acceptable or remarkable. Again, the presence of Dipannita Sharma in the movie was not quite clear. Still Zakir Hussain as Don D and Pankaj Tripathi who played the character of right hand of Don D, did really well.
The plot of the movie was quite innovative and surely it could have been a successful movie but the movie suffers due to lots of technical errors. The editing was done too carelessly and dubbing was not prominent. Due to these silly errors, this movie can’t be placed within the same row with other successful movies.
